Tenn. Woman Who Vanished 2 Weeks Ago Found Dead in Creek, Blunt Force Trauma Is Cause of Death

A Tennessee woman who was first reported missing two weeks ago has been found dead in a Nashville-area creek.

Metro Nashville Police announced that the body of Emily Bradley, 44, was found in  Whites Creek near Buena Vista Pike, Tenn. The Medical Examiner’s Office said that her cause of death appears to be blunt force trauma, according to police.

Bradley, of East Nashville, was last seen on Feb. 18 by a male companion, an investigator told WKRN. Police also told the local outlet that a license plate recognition camera picked up the 44-year-old’s gray Chevrolet Cruze in Hendersonville on Feb. 21, but it is unknown who was driving the vehicle.

“Nobody has seen or heard from her since, and we were in constant contact throughout her whole life,” her father Nick Bradley previously told the outlet.

“If we just knew something, it would be better than knowing nothing. Her mother and I, we’re just completely distraught,” Nick said at the time. “We are hoping for the best, bracing for the worst. We just don’t know.”

Bradley’s car — which has a Florida license plate with tag 086PML and a dent on the trunk — is still missing, and police are asking for anyone with information on its whereabouts to report it to local authorities.

The Nashville community has been heavily involved in Bradley’s missing person case, with more than 1,000 people joining a “Emily Bradley Missing Discussion” Facebook page, now renamed as “Emily Bradley Memorial Page” since the news of her death was announced.

Dozens of Bradley’s friends, family and supporters have left messages honoring her memory since Sunday, and many have still been searching for information about her missing car.

“My sweet Pixie friend,” one of Bradley’s friends and supporters wrote on Facebook. “I am at a loss of words. You were so precious to me. I will always treasure our sweet memories.”

“That energy you put out on the dance floor, Sometimes it was THE reason to go to a party,” another friend added. “You’ve been taken from us too soon, but rest in heaven sweet angel. You have a very special seat up there.”

Police wrote in a press release Sunday that anyone “with information on Bradley’s death or her missing vehicle are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.”
