
An 8-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after he was shot at an apartment complex in Casselberry, police said
The shooting was reported shortly before 11:30 a.m at an apartment complex on Monarch Circle, police said.
Police said the shooting happened inside one of the apartments. The child was shot in the leg, police said.
Officials said the shooting is not believed to have been an accidental shooting nor related to a domestic violence situation. However, police have not yet detailed the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Casselberry Police said witnesses reported seeing a possible vehicle leaving the apartment shortly after the shooting, though that has not been confirmed.
Second person shot shows up at urgent care
After the shooting, a second person showed up at an urgent care in Orange County with a gunshot wound.
Police said that person may potentially be connected to the shooting in Casselberry, though few details were released
