New Mexico mass shooting: 3 killed, 15 injured

Police in the desert city of Las Cruces, New Mexico, said multiple people were victims of a mass shooting at a park.

three people were killed and 15 others were injured in the shooting, which happened at Young Park at about 10 p.m. local time

Police Chief Jeremy Story said at a press conference at the morning that the shooting happened at an unsanctioned car show that was taking place at the park.

Story said the shooting happened after a fight broke out between two groups, and that people from both groups are believed to have fired shots. Story said several people were hurt in the crossfire.
Those who died were two 16, 18 and 19 years old, police said.
Victims ranged in age from 16 to 36 years old.
Story said someone was seen walking with an AR-15, but that police have spoken to that person and say he was not involved in the shooting. Story added that recovered bullet casings have all been from handguns
Names of the victims have not yet been released.

Police also haven’t released any information yet about suspects or what the groups were arguing about.
Police also said they are awaiting to learn the medical status of four of the injured victims.
