A 20-year-old Orlando man was killed afternoon after his motorcycle was struck by a SunRail train in Orange County, prompting the cancellation and delays of several trains and travel disruptions for dozens of commuters, authorities said
The crash occurred around 12:38 p.m. on the southbound tracks near Intermodal Way and Central Florida Parkway in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Investigators said the Honda motorcycle was stopped facing east on the tracks when it was hit by a southbound SunRail train. The motorcycle became partially engulfed in flames, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
No injuries were reported among the 58 passengers or the three crew members onboard the train. The train’s conductor was also unhurt.
A bus bridge was implemented to carry passengers between the Sand Lake Road and Poinciana stations.
Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased rider. The circumstances that led to the motorcycle being stopped on the tracks remain under investigation.

SunRail canceled some trains while others experienced delays. Around 9:40 p.m., all trains were back on schedule.
