2 dead, 2 arrested after shootout near Ron Kirk Pedestrian Bridge in West Dallas

Two arrests have been made after a shootout between two groups near the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge in West Dallas ended with two people killed and three others hurt.
Police responded to Canada Drive and Gulden Lane near Trinity Groves around 11 p.m
Investigators said a gathering was taking place in the parking lot adjacent to the bridge when a fight broke out between two groups. The situation quickly escalated into gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found three people who had been shot.
Police say one victim, 18-year-old Abdulla Al Badry, died at the hospital. A second victim remains hospitalized, and the third victim was treated and released.
Police say two others had already driven themselves to the hospital in a bullet-riddled SUV.
One of the victims, 20-year-old Osvaldo Gutierrez, died at the hospital. The other victim was treated and released
Police arrested 18-year-old Manuel Alvarez and 19-year-old Fernando Sanchez.
Alvarez is being held in the Dallas County Jail on charges of murder and Aggravated Assault by discharging a firearm recklessly from a motor vehicle at an occupied habitation, building, or vehicle. He has a combined bond of $1,100,000.
Sanchez’s mugshot was not available in the Dallas County Jail system. His charges are murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond amounts have not been set.
