At least 1 dead, 5 others wounded in stabbing in front of Las Vegas casino


At least one person is dead after multiple people were stabbed in front of a casino in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a tweet.

The incident took place in the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard.

“At this time, at least six victims have been located,” the police department said. “Other victims are being transported to area hospitals with unknown extent of injuries.”

The suspect has been taken into custody and the incident is under investigation, police said in another tweet.

The incident occurred right near the Wynn Las Vegas and the Resorts World Casino, both major resorts in the city.
