WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A shooting on the south side of Wichita has left two teenagers dead, police said.
Officers who were called to an apartment complex on night found 17-year-old Alexis Cervantes-Martinez and 16-year-old Mariah Zamora in a vehicle that had crashed into a storage unit, police spokesman Trever Macy said in a news release.
Both were suffering from gunshot wounds. Cervantes-Martinez died at the scene and Zamora was pronounced dead at a local hospital, Macy said.
Macy said the two teenagers were at the scene for a drug deal when someone fired several shots at them.
No arrests have been announced.
