The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has issued a “Blue Alert” for five men they said escaped from the Pulaski County, Georgia jail. The GBI said two of the men they said are murder suspects and all have a history of violence against others.
Deputies said Tyree Williams, Dennis Penix, Brandon Pooler, Tyree Jackson and Lewis Evans escaped from the jail around 11 p.m. at night and stole a white Kia Sedona van from the jail parking lot.
The van has a license with Georgia Tag number CMP 8628. They did not know where the men were heading.
Deputies said two of the men are facing murder charges and all have a history of violence.
Investigations believe they are armed with at least two stun guns.
Williams was in jail facing charges of felony murder and home invasion after a shooting incident in July 2020. Penix is accused of killing two men in what was called a “drug deal gone bad”. Investigators said Pooler is facing charges of child cruelty, Jackson is charged with a series of car-break-ins and Evans is accused of obstructing an officer.
GSP Investigators and Pulaksi/Hawkinsville Sheriff’s deputies are warning people to not approach these men because they are considered dangerous. They’re asking anyone who may have seen or come across them to immediately call 911 or the GBI Tip Line at 1-800-597-8477.
