PEKIN (WEEK) — An annual fundraiser hosted by the Illinois CancerCare Foundation is coming up — Saturday, October 16 at the Pekin Moose Lodge.
The “Totes for Ta-Tas” event auctions off bags and purses, using the funds to help local cancer patients cover things like patient care — as well as local cancer research.
Totes for Ta-Tas vice president Lynn Curless hopes to bring the community together for an event that everyone can enjoy.
“I think you’ll get a sense of community,” she said.” I think you’ll get a positivity. I think you’ll feel like you’ve made a difference, and you’ve had fun at the same time, so it’s a complete win-win for everybody.”
