PEORIA (WEEK) — Heartland Health Services held its Autumn Fest at the Peoria Riverfront Museum Saturday to help supply people with vaccines, and educate them as well.
Heartland Health teamed up with a ton of other medical groups to provide flu shots and COVID-19 vaccines for people who need them.
Plus, there were health kits, backpacks and coats given out to families, as well as food boxes from the Peoria Citizens Committee for Economic Opportunity.
“We all like to collaborate together. That’s one of the things that we do so well in Peoria,” said Michelle Sanders of Heartland Health Services. “But then, we also want to educate our community and make sure we are giving everybody the resources that they need.”
Sanders said Heartland Health is stocked up on flu shots and they are available for those who make an appointment.
