After a dry September, we start October with some much-needed rain. Scattered showers and storms will continue tonight and Sunday. Best chance for widespread showers looks to be early Sunday, then becoming more scattered as the day goes on. There is potential for some thunderstorms to form in the afternoon, but no severe weather is expected. Rain amounts are expected to be near an inch with some areas with heavier rainfall and thunderstorm activity likely to see more. Temperatures will be cooler in the mid seventies Sunday and for the rest of the week.
