Shots fired Monday night near Illinois State University’s main campus

NORMAL (WEEK) – On Monday, Normal Police responded to reports of shots fired near an apartment complex less than three miles away from Illinois State University’s main campus.

According to ISU’s campus crime advisory, police responded to the apartment complex located at 710 W. Orlando Ave. at approximately 5:00 p.m.

Shots were also reportedly heard in the area of 700 N. Adelaide St. where three juveniles were last seen running away in a northwest direction. 

The incident remains under investigation by the Normal Police Department. Anyone with information is being advised to contact the department at (309) 454-9535.
