BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) — Frontier Airlines is announcing new nonstop flights from the Central Illinois Regional Airport in Bloomington to Tampa International Airport beginning in December.
The airline is also offering introductory fares starting at $49 to celebrate the new service, which will be twice a week starting December 17.
“Central Illinois travelers love to visit Florida and we welcome this new, nonstop service to Tampa International Airport (TPA) on Frontier.”, said Alan Sender, Chairman of the Bloomington Normal Airport Authority. “With the Tampa service starting on December 17, families and friends looking for winter break getaways, golfers, and sunseekers can take advantage of the low fares done right on Frontier to sunny Tampa Bay.”
“We’re excited to announce new nonstop flights between Bloomington and Tampa beginning this winter,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial, Frontier Airlines. “We continue to look for new travel opportunities for Central Illinois residents, and with its sunny year-round weather and endless activities, Tampa is a highly sought-after warm-weather destination as the temperatures turn colder in the north. We look forward to the launch of this new service and greatly appreciate the continued support from the community and our Bloomington airport partner.”
For the fare promotion offer, Frontier says fares must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on October 3. Fares are valid for travel on select days effective Dec. 17 through Feb. 16, 2022. The following blackout dates apply: Dec. 22, 2021– Jan. 4, 2022. Round-trip purchase is not required.
