Bloomington man facing charges of residential burglary, more


BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) — A Bloomington man was arrested and is facing charges including burglary and resisting a peace officer after officers located a stolen vehicle in the back of the man’s home.

Ryan M. Mooney, 29 was arrested and charged with residential burglary, burglary without causing damage, resisting a peace officer and criminal trespass to vehicles after a theft complaint.

Bloomington Police responded to the 700 block of West Mulberry Street at around 4:15 a.m. Sunday, September 26 where they learned a vehicle and other personal property were stolen.

A Bloomington Police release said officers located the stolen vehicle a few minutes later approximately half a block away, in the 500 block of North Mason Street — in the back of Mooney’s home.

Officers had to restrain Mooney several times, leading to additional arrest charges.
