One person in custody after golf cart theft


McLEAN COUNTY (WEEK) — One person is in custody after the theft of a golf cart.

The McLean County Sheriff’s Office originally said on Facebook that a golf cart was taken from Bill’s Cars & Trailers at Lake Bloomington at around 2:10 a.m., Saturday, September 18, after two white men in a dark-colored Dodge pickup enter the lot, walk around then take the golf cart.

The golf cart is a 1996 Yamaha G16AP, red in color with a white hard top. “Bill’s Cars” is painted on the hood, the cart has a trailer hitch, three chrome wheels and one standard wheel, blue-dot tail lights and a slow-moving vehicle reflective triangle on the rear.

The sheriff’s office said one man is a white male, approximately 20-30 yrs old, wearing a light-colored sweatshirt with a logo on the front and back, and dark-colored shorts.

The second man is a white male, heavy build, wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and dark-colored shorts with his distinctive white patterned underwear protruding from the top of his shorts.
