BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) — There was ‘One Hill of a Race’ in Bloomington Saturday and runners took advantage of the cool, sunny weather to complete the fitness challenge.

The event is put on every year thanks to a partnership between the Bloomington Parks and Recreation department and local fitness group ‘Dust 2 Glory’.

150 runners of all ages took part in a three mile, 30 obstacle run, which included a slip n slide, climbing, carrying and other fitness challenges.

Owner and Head Coach of Dust 2 Glory Dustin Webb said it’s a fun way to get the community involved in fitness.

After canceling the event in 2020, he said they were happy to get it back on this year.

“I think it’s awesome to be able to have the opportunity to give competitors and people in the community a chance to race,” Webb said. “Not just race, but to do something that demonstrates overcoming obstacles. And no better race to do that than Hill of a Race.”

The fitness events continue next week when Dust 2 Glory fitness will host ‘Deka Fit’, a family friendly work out decathlon event with 10 fitness training zones. That will also take place in Bloomington.
