A dry, breezy, and mild start to Tuesday will give way to a warm and humid afternoon. Highs are projected to top out in the mid 80s. A passing cold front will bring the chance for a few isolated thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. The best chance for storms exists east of the Illinois River, with the best chance of a strong storm east of I-55.
Cooler and more comfortable air arrives for Wednesday. Temperatures then climb into the upper 80s with lots of sunshine through the end of the work week.
