BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) – A Bloomington man was behind bars Monday night after a hit-and-run collision that badly injured a pedestrian Saturday night on the city’s southwest side.

Bloomington Police said they were called about 9:20 p.m. to Six Points Road and Juniper Lane where they found a 26-year old man with serious injuries after he was struck by a pickup truck. The victim was taken to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. Information about his condition is not available.

About 11 p.m. Saturday, police said they found the driver, Thomas E. Hall, 61, walking near Four Seasons Road and Ross Drive.

Monday, prosecutors charged Hall with two counts of aggravated DUI for allegedly being under the influence of drugs and failure to report an accident with injuries. All three charges are felonies.

A judge set bond for Hall at $200,000, which means he has to post $20,000 to be released from the McLean County Jail. Hall’s next court date is September 24.
