Peoria gas prices edge lower despite hurricane-related supply concerns

PEORIA (WEEK) – Peoria gas prices are falling despite uncertainty about oil supplies after Hurricane Ida tore through the U.S. Gulf Coast.

Gas prices fell 0.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.28 per gallon on Monday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 148 Peoria gas stations. That’s 9.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago, but 88.1 cents per gallon higher than year-ago levels when the average price locally was $2.39 per gallon.

The cheapest price in Peoria on Monday was $3.18 per gallon, while the most expensive price was $3.55 per gallon, according to GasBuddy price reports. Statewide, GasBuddy said the lowest price was $2.85 per gallon, while the highest was $4.29 per gallon.
