Area distance runners were up bright and early Saturday for the Normal West Invitational and it was a good day for Mid-Illini teams. Dunlap girls finished second and Morton boys finished third.
Dunlap’s Kate Robertson had the best time for the Eagles, finishing fifth overall. Yonas Wuthrich led the Potters, finishing seventh overall.
Also, prep golfers hit the links for the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints Shootout. Eureka’s Allison Pacocha finished third, Normal U-High’s Ihrena Gerongay second and teammate Reagan Kennedy took first, firing a 69.
In team competition, U-High took first, Dunlap second, Morton third.
