‘Baking up Love’ makes long-awaited premiere at Morton Cinema

MORTON (WEEK) — The stars of the new film, Baking up Love got the Hollywood treatment Saturday night as they hit the orange carpet for the film’s premiere.

The cast stopped by Morton Cinema for photos and mingled with fans in preparation for the sold-out show.

Baking up Love is a romantic, faith-based comedy shot in Morton and produced by Gemelli Films.

Monica Mannix, one of the film’s producers, said it was an honor to show off the village on the big screen with the community’s support.

“They were so welcoming when we came to film this,” Mannix said. “It made us feel like we were at home. It’s a slice of Americana here and it was a pleasure to be involved in this movie and to meet such wonderful people.”

For those who didn’t get a chance to catch the premiere, the film will be released on Pureflix September 1.
