An event centuries in the making, FOX4’s Karli Ritter visits Iceland’s erupting volcano

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A volcanic eruption in Iceland was 800 years in the making, and FOX4’s Karli Ritter took a trip to see it for herself!

The Fagradalsfjall volcano erupted on the Reykjanes peninsula on March 19, now tourists can visit to see fresh lava flow from the shield eruption.
