At 249 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Tonica, or 10 miles south of Peru, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Ottawa, Streator, Marseilles, Oglesby, Seneca, South Streator,
Tonica, Grand Ridge, Lostant, Ransom, Cedar Point, Kangley and
Leonore.

Including the following interstate…
I-39 between mile markers 41 and 53.

This includes… Illini State Park.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
central, north central and northeastern Illinois.
