Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 12 at 3:30AM CDT until August 12 at 3:45AM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL

At 329 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Colfax, or 11
miles southwest of Fairbury, moving east at 50 mph. A second strong
to severe thunderstorm was located near Hudson, and was also moving
east.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern McLean County, including the following locations…
Weston and Pleasant Hill.

This includes Interstate 55 between mile markers 169 and 186.
To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Lincoln.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature’s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
