WOODFORD COUNTY (WEEK) — A woman was killed in a single-car crash that happened Monday night on eastbound Interstate 74 near the Goodfield exit.
Woodford County Coroner Tim Ruestman said he pronounced Grace Welch, 22, dead at the scene.
The Woodford County Sheriff’s Office said they found the car had rolled on its roof and the driver had been ejected from the vehicle.
Ruestman said preliminary autopsy results showed Welch died from blunt force injuries. He said Welch was not wearing her seatbelt.
According to the coroner, Welch was living in Colorado, but was visiting family in McLean County and the Quad Cities. He said Welch was in the process of moving back to Illinois.
