At 453 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Ashland, or 7 miles east of Virginia, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

This strong thunderstorm will be near…
Tallula around 500 PM CDT.
Petersburg and Kilbourne around 510 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this storm include Easton and Mason
City.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
