DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — A pedestrian has died after he was hit by an SUV in Dickinson, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The patrol said the 22-year-old Mandan man was walking in the road near an intersection about 12:30 a.m.when he was struck by a Chevy Equinox.
The 25-year-old driver and 20-year-old passenger were not injured. Officials said that after the crash, the driver turned around and returned to the scene.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, but he died of his injuries.
The Highway Patrol is investigating.
