The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide by shooting that happened at night in New Orleans.
The shooting happened in the 7700 block of Briarwood Drive around 5:36 p.m.
Officers said they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.
Officers have a man in custody and he is being questioned about the incident, according to police.
