Police said a drive-by shooting early this morning on the eastern side of Detroit left one dead and five wounded.
The Detroit Police Department said the mass shooting occurred around 2 a.m. outside the concert hall at 9855 Chalmers, southeast of Outer Drive.
Police say someone or someone in a car started shooting into the crowd. Police found at least 20 shell casings at the scene, and they believe there may have been a shootout, with several guns fired.
The dead man was in his thirties. Police said in a tweet that two other men and three women were shot and “expected to be fine”.
Police are asking for more information about the shooting. Those who prefer to remain anonymous can share what they know with Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 800-SPEAK-UP.
