16-year-old boy dies after being shot in South End on Fourth of July

Police are looking for whoever shot a 16-year-old boy in South End on the Fourth of July. The teen died at the hospital the next day.

The shooting happened around 3:40 p.m. along South Boulevard near Remount Road.

Police at the scene told Channel 9 that the victim was shot more than once when someone opened fire in the street. MEDIC said the juvenile, identified as Travell Moore, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Moore died, police said. The case is being investigated as a homcide.

Both roads were shut down temporarily while officers investigated the scene.

Authorities have not announced any arrests but told Channel 9 the shooting was not random.

No other details have been released.
