A Memphis woman and her boyfriend face serious charges after a dispute in a Chick-fil-A drive thru line led to a gun being pulled, according to the Memphis Police Department.

MPD said that 30-year-old Ashley Daniels was waiting in line in her red Camaro at the popular fast-food chain on Union Ave. when another car with four people, including two children ages 6 years and 3 months, cut in front of her.

That’s when, according to a police affidavit, Daniels leaned out of her window and pointed a gun at the car with the two adults and two children inside.

The car with the victims inside pulled away and Daniels followed, police said.

A few moments later, police said Daniel’s boyfriend, Jay Williams, pulled up next to the victims car in a DHL truck.

Williams got out of the truck, walked over to the victim’s car and started hitting one of the people in the car, according to MPD.

The victims in the car were able to get Williams license plate and and arrest him for simple assault, police reported.

According to Memphis Police, Williams confessed to the assault and told police that the woman in the red Camaro was his girlfriend Ashley Daniels and gave police her phone number.

When MPD contacted Daniels, they said she came in and gave a full confession, telling Memphis Police that she pointed her gun at the victims because she was upset that they had skipped her in the drive thru line at Chick-fil-A.

Police said Daniels went with officers to her house and directed officers towards the gun she used.

Daniels is charged with 4 counts of aggravated assault.
