Representatives arrested Joseph Sherima, 71, on charges of sexual beating.
His alleged victim is only 8 years old.
The Palm Beach County sheriff’s office told Sherima took her into a darkened bedroom, locked it up, and forced her to bed.
I screamed for help when I heard an unnamed person looking for her in the house. The deputies said that Sherima closed the door.
After 10 minutes, he let it go finally.
The unnamed person asked the girl what had happened. According to the deputies, she said, “He put something in my order and this is not the first time that this has happened.”
The deputies said the child was able to identify three other occasions the suspect had assaulted.
She couldn’t remember the exact dates and times, but said the first time happened when her grandmother was at church.
She told them that she was raped once while playing with her baby sister and once while hanging the laundry outside.
Authorities charged him with four counts of sexual assault of a child under the age of 12.
