The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
Southeastern Livingston County in central Illinois…
Southeastern Ford County in east central Illinois…
Southern Iroquois County in east central Illinois…
Benton County in northwestern Indiana…
Southern Jasper County in northwestern Indiana…
Southern Newton County in northwestern Indiana…

* Until 900 PM CDT /1000 PM EDT/.

* At 554 PM CDT /654 PM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
producing very heavy rain. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen in portions of the advisory area over the past 1 to 2 hours.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Rensselaer, Watseka, Paxton, Gibson City, Fowler, Kentland,
Milford, Otterbein, Remington, Onarga, Oxford, Sheldon, Goodland,
Brook, Cissna Park, Boswell, Buckley, Earl Park, Stockland and
Hanging Grove.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 1.5 inches is expected over the area in
the next 1 to 2 hours. Runoff from the rain that has fallen along
with this additional rain will result in minor flooding.
Expect flooding of creeks, ditches, farmland, roadways, and and
other low lying areas.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
