* Until 215 AM CDT Sunday.
* At 146 PM CDT, emergency management reported ongoing flooding and
road damage in the flood warning area. Flooding was reported on
Sugar Creek and Kickapoo Creek from near Hartsburg, Atlanta, and
Lawndale to near McLean and Heyworth. I-55 and Route 136 have been
reported to have flooding and damage. Between 4 and 7 inches of
rain have fallen.
Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Bloomington, Heyworth, Atlanta, McLean, Stanford, Waynesville,
Armington, Hartsburg, Lawndale and Shirley.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
