Flash Flood Warning issued June 26 at 12:06AM CDT until June 26 at 4:00AM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL

At 1204 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…At 11:55 PM law enforcement relayed reports of urban
flooding across the warned area. In Le Roy, near 2600 E
and 600 N, a car stalled in high water, leaving a
motorist stranded.

IMPACT…Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Clinton, Le Roy, Farmer City, Colfax, Mansfield, Saybrook,
Wapella, De Land, Weldon, Kenney, Cooksville, Pleasant Hill,
Bellflower, Arrowsmith, Cropsey, Ellsworth, De Witt, Anchor,
Moraine View State Park and Galesville.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 72 near mile marker 173.
Interstate 74 near mile markers 149, 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155,
156, 157, 158, 159, 160, 161, 162, 163, 164, 165, 166, 167 and 168.

Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned
area.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
