South Metro Fire Rescue confirmed two people and a dog died after a plane crash in Lone Tree.
At 1:51, South Metro Fire responded to reports that an airplane crashed in the area of S. Peoria St. and Ridgegate Pkwy. At the scene, crews confirmed a single plane crashed, causing an active brush fire to spread.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, two people and a dog were aboard. The aircraft had departed from Neosho, Missouri, and was headed to the Centennial Airport.
South Metro say a plane hit an electrical line, units are being careful around the lines until charge is mitigated.
South Metro says they’re still working on gathering information. The victims have not been identified at this time.
