3 people, including teen, killed in St. Louis area

ST. LOUIS (AP) — At least three people — including a teen — were fatally shot in and around St. Louis in a spate of gun violence on Sunday that also saw several other teens injured, police said.
The first shooting was reported in an unincorporated area of north St. Louis County, when a man was found with a fatal gunshot wound. He died at the scene.
Around 2:30 p.m, a teen was fatally shot north of downtown St. Louis blocks from the city’s riverfront, police said. Officers called to the scene found the teen with a gunshot wound to his chest. He died at the scene.
The third shooting happened hours later just before 7 p.m. on the city’s south end, police said. Officers called to the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood found a man in his late 20s or early 30s suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the scene, and a suspect was arrested.
Police have not released the names of those killed or the person arrested.
The deaths were among a flurry of shootings Sunday in the St. Louis area. Police said seven other people were injured in three separate shootings around the city. That included four people — a 17-year-old girl, two 19-year-old men and an 18-year-old man — who were shot outside a downtown St. Louis restaurant.
