ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — A 21-year-old man was charged in a shooting on an Albany street that left one man dead and five others wounded, police said.
Jhajuan Sabb was scheduled to be arraigned on a charge of second-degree murder in the shooting, according to Albany police.
It could not immediately be determined if the resident of nearby Schenectady had a lawyer.
Police responding the scene of the drive-by shooting found Sharf Addalim, 35, in the road with a gunshot wound in his back. Addalim, who was declared dead at a nearby hospital, was not the intended victim of the shooting, police said.
Five other men ranging in age from 21 to 29 years old came into local hospitals later Friday with gunshot wounds related to the shooting. All five were treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The investigation was continuing.
