
ABITA SPRINGS, La. (AP) — An 85-year-old woman died when her golf cart crashed and pinned her to the ground, a Louisiana sheriff’s office said.
The woman was unresponsive when emergency workers answered her family’s call about the crash about 9 p.m. near Abita Springs, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The parish coroner’s office will determine cause of death and release the woman’s name.
The sheriff’s office said it is not releasing more information about the accident because that is still being investigated.
