Three people were killed and eight injured when their truck capsized on Interstate 95 in Florida, authorities said.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, one of those who died was a four-year-old girl.
Spokeswoman Kim Montes said in an email that the truck veered off the highway around 5:30 a.m. The truck’s roof was torn off and everyone inside was expelled.
The eight people who did not die at the scene were taken to several hospitals. One three years old. Their names and hometowns were not immediately revealed, but Montes said they do not live in Florida.
The Highway Patrol stated that three of those taken to the hospital were in critical condition.
