Driver captured in crash, conceivable shooting of bicyclist


Authorities say a bicyclist is dead after a lady hit him with her van as he went across a Wichita road and afterward clearly shot him.

The Wichita Eagle reports that 31-year-old Charity Charmon Blackmon was set up for prison Friday night on doubt of first-degree murder, driving with a suspended permit, risky turning or halting and inability to give legitimate sign.

Wichita police boss Gordon Ramsay said the casualty was either riding or strolling his bike when he was hit Friday evening. Ramsay said the underlying reports were that the suspect got out to shoot the man after the accident. Ramsay said police would know completely in the event that he was shot after a dissection. The man’s name wasn’t quickly delivered.

A few group followed the lady after the accident and she was captured a brief timeframe later.

“We don’t know whether they know one another,” Ramsay said, or “what caused this entire thing.”

Blackmon was delivered from jail in September 2018. Kansas Department of Corrections records show that she has feelings for disturbed risk of a youngster, exasperated attack, criminal harm to property, driving without protection and another traffic-related charge.
