3 dead, several injured after a truck carrying 11 people crashed on the Florida Highway

Soldiers at the site of a fatal crash of Interstate 95 (I-95) in Volusia County.

The accident occurred on I-95 near 277 miles near Ormond Beach.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said the accident involved a truck carrying eleven people inside. They were residents of another country.

The truck reportedly veered off the road and overturned. The roof opened from the shock and expelled the occupants.

Troopers said a 4-year-old girl, a 19-year-old girl, and a third person died at the scene. The last person was under the truck. Additionally, seven people were taken to nearby hospitals and a three-year-old child was airlifted to Arnold Palmer.

The three-year-old boy and four other injured passengers were said to be in stable condition. Three others are in critical condition.
