1 dead, 3 hurt in party transport shooting close to Chicago


Waterway GROVE, Ill. (AP) — One individual was murdered and three others were injured when somebody discharged shots at a gathering transport after it halted at a convergence in Chicago’s western rural areas, police said.

Waterway Grove Police Chief Michael Konwinski said the shooting unfurled soon after 12 PM when somebody in a vehicle terminated at the transport in River Grove, a Cook County town.

Four individuals were shot, and one of them kicked the bucket, Konwinski said.

Acting Deputy Chief Lt. Daniel Fidonik said the three other shooting casualties were hospitalized.

The Cook County clinical analyst’s office has not delivered subtleties on the individual who kicked the bucket.

After the shooting, the transport driver drove the vehicle to Franklin Park and left the transport in a protected area, police said.

Konwinski said the West Suburban Major Crime Task Force is “following up leads” with River Grove police, however nobody was in authority.

M&M Limousine Services in Des Plaines claims the transport, WLS-TV announced. A representative for the organization told the station the transport driver was fine yet would not give any extra subtleties on the occurrence.
