
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Two people were killed and seven people were wounded in several shootings across Delaware in the past five days, authorities said.
The latest shooting on Wilmington’s East Side left a 20-year-old man wounded and in stable condition, Wilmington police said.
The first shooting occurred Thursday evening, the Delaware News Journal reported.
Levonne Kellam, 43, and a 50-year-old woman were both shot in the Price Run section of Wilmington. Kellam was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other woman was listed as “stable” on Friday. Additional information on the shooting wasn’t immediately released.
A shooting on Friday left one man dead at a Fox Point apartment complex, New Castle County police said. Details on the victim weren’t immediately released.
Two separate shootings occurred Sunday.
A 23-year-old man was shot and wounded while walking to his car outside Oasis Hookah Lounge on Route 13 around 12:45 a.m., Delaware State Police said.
Hours later, Dover officers responded to a shooting outside an IHOP, where they found one man shot in the cheek. Three other men were also shot and privately taken to a hospital. All four men had non-life threatening wounds.Two other men believed to have left the scene right after the shootings in a car were later taken in custody, police said.
