KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — One person was shot and killed and a second person was wounded in a shooting near a downtown Kansas City entertainment district.
Kansas City Police spokesman Capt. Dave Jackson said the shooting was reported around 4 a.m. near the Kansas City Power & Light District.
Officers found one person dead inside a vehicle. A second person who had been shot was found sitting outside the vehicle, and that person was taken to a hospital.
“Detectives are investigating the possibility that this incident is related to another disturbance at a different location,” Jackson said.
