Two people are killed after a crash at Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers.
One car crash occurred shortly before 1 a.m. in the southern lanes.
The vehicle and a number of police units were severely damaged at the scene.
Southbound traffic was diverted away from the parked road at Romsey Road (Exit 4) as the investigation of the fatal accident began.
Motorists have been advised to use the New York Thruway instead.
