ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) — A shooting at a motel in southwest Oregon sent several people to a hospital, authorities said.
People began calling 911 just before 3 p.m. to report a shooting at the Budget 16 Motel in the city of Roseburg, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.
Roseburg police spokesman Jeff Eichenbusch said two of the victims sustained “very serious” injuries, The News-Review reported.
The suspected shooter was taken into custody and then to a hospital for treatment, Eichenbusch said.
There was no more threat to the public, according to Brad O’Dell, a spokesman for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
O’Dell also said several people were taken to the hospital but that their conditions and identities were being withheld.
Investigators were processing the scene and doing interviews, O’Dell said.
