A woman from western Pennsylvania was held without bond after authorities said she shot and killed her two daughters.

According to police, Cresinda Bright, 48, called the officers to her home on Monday afternoon and let the officers enter.

Interim Police Chief John DeLuca said officers found a “horrific scene” inside.

The Beaver County coroner said that Kiara Bright, 16, and Yasmine Canadi, 22, were shot twice in the head.

Their mother was transferred to the county jail without incident and charged with two murder charges. It was not known if she had appointed a lawyer.

The motive behind the shooting was not clear.
