The Queen Anne County Sheriff’s Office reported a fatal double-gun shooting inside a home.
According to the sheriff’s office, Representatives and Command Staff of the 100th Block of Canal Street, in Grassonville, responded to a double-barreled home shooting. After contact by family members, responding lawmakers identified two people inside the house with apparently fatal bullet wounds.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit along with the Maryland State Police Mobile Crime Laboratory were reportedly required to investigate and process the crime scene.
The accident was isolated from the place of residence in question and there was no threat to society.
During the night of the investigation, Sheriff Gary Hoffman advised the Chester River Shore neighborhood that “there is no local threat and the community is safe. This is an isolated event within the family. Thank you for everyone’s attention as we continue our investigation.”
The circumstances surrounding this accident are still under investigation at this time.
