One person died after Kern County Sheriffs found a plane that was reported missing.
The debris was found in rocky terrain west of Tehachapi Road willow springs, south of Oak Creek Road in Tehachapi. The accident is thought to have occurred and may have been due to high winds and poor visibility in the area.
The plane departed from Camarilofor Mammoth Lakes, according to a press release.
The deputies began searching the area after receiving a report that a plane had gone missing in the Tehachapi area. Sheriff officials were forced to suspend the search due to the weather conditions. At around 8:40 am, the mayor’s search and reception team found the plane and the person.
